ACH Processing: CCFS vs. Banks
BANKS:
  • Bank personnel is constantly changing as is bank ownership, not what you want for the most important aspect of your business...your money!
  • Banks profit (and focus) on non-processing activities such as loans and investments
  • Bank software is standardized, "off-the-shelf" and outdated
  • Banks offer "low introductory" rates which are artificially low to entice you. Banks build in higher fees instead
  • Customer service takes forever, is uninformative and slow
  • Banks offer ACH processing to lock businesses into their bank and to build additional fee structure services within their bank (limit your options)
CCFS:
  • As a privately held business, the key principals of CCFS are involved in every aspect of processing your money and can be reached in an instant...accountability when it really matters!
  • CCFS is an ACH electronic check processor..that's it!
  • CCFS has proprietary web-based software that can be accessed from anywhere and is completely secure and scalable.
  • CCFS offers low transaction fees and low rates that don't have hidden rates built in
  • Customer service and technical support is built to service customers from an entrepreneurial perspective
  • CCFS is an open platform in that your current banking relationships remain unaffected. Keep your bank or change it..it doesn't matter to us!

Data Security & Reliability Information
Overview

Creative Cash Flow Solutions processes electronic checks as ACH transactions through the Federal Reserve via its proprietary, online virtual terminal, called SpeedChex. SpeedChex is a financial system that stores, transmits and receives both individual and business bank account information. Two (2) areas of concern are critical for an operational system such as SpeedChex.

First, the protection of personal and business information must be the very highest of concerns.

Second, the system must be extremely reliable, since merchants and their customers depend on this system 24/7. The system must be responsive, fast and secure.

CCFS has built its business based on the security and reliability of its ACH processing core, SpeedChex. Built from scratch, the system was designed to address every conceivable concern in advance. Special consideration was given to most important details: the most secure hosting facility, a solid infrastructure, a failsafe monitoring and reporting structure for system failure, creating the highest level of security, and including redundancy at all possible levels.

Facilities

Located at the Dallas InfoMart, one of the most advanced hosting facilities in the world, SpeedChex data center is not only extremely secure, but state-of the-art in every aspect.

The Dallas InfoMart was designed specifically for telecommunication providers, Internet data centers, and other high-end technology companies requiring redundant high-speed connectivity.

Three independent Texas utility stations supply Hospital-grade electrical power to the building. In the extremely unlikely event that all three power stations go offline or some other catastrophe occurs, the hosting facility is further equipped with industrial-grade uninterruptible power supplies. In case of localized power problems, the SpeedChex servers also have their own independent uninterruptible power supply.

Round-the-clock protection by security guards, 24/7 surveillance and a state-of-the-art fire suppression system are a few of the other important features of the facility. For more information on the Dallas InfoMart, please visit their website at www.infomartusa.com.

Infrastructure

The SpeedChex servers are hosted by an Internet data center that features multiple tier-1 network connections to three different Internet backbone providers. Traffic is re-routed onto the other redundant connections when a problem is encountered with any single network connection.

A state-of-the-art firewall system protects the entire network from unauthorized access and hacking attempts. Private 100Mbps Fast Ethernet network connections support the SpeedChex servers.

Server redundancy and other important fail-overs have been implemented on the entire system. As an example, each server is equipped with multiple hot-swappable hard drives in standard RAID configuration to keep the servers running in case of any single hard drive failure.

Monitoring

The Dallas InfoMart provides a fully staffed Network Operations Center with trained system administrators on duty 24 hours, seven days a week to monitor SpeedChex. Internet connectivity and traffic for any disconnections, bottlenecks, or slow-downs that need to be fixed are monitored constantly. Onsite administrators perform system maintenance as needed to ensure the servers operate a maximum efficiency and availability.

The entire SpeedChex system is monitored via internal software to help with the detection of potential or real problems. When a problem is detected or a potential problem needs to be addressed the software immediately notifies the support professionals.

Physical Security

Security guards provide protection for the facilities 24 hours a day, seven days a week by restricting access through a reception area, making physical patrols and monitoring a closed circuit video surveillance system.

The SpeedChex data center is restricted physically to authorized personnel only. Any person wishing to gain access to the servers must use photo ID, an electronic access badge, and keys to gain access through alarmed doors, closed-circuit monitors, motion detectors, and key locks.

Data Security

A Linux-based firewall system that has been custom configured to the highest security specifications, protects the SpeedChex servers. Security breach attempts are monitored and reported. The operating systems are kept up-to-date with the latest security patches issued by the OS makers.

All transaction data sent to and from the SpeedChex servers are secured during transmission using 128-bit SSL encryption verified by Thawte, a VeriSign subsidiary. Data is backed-up daily to ensure protection in case of catastrophic system failure.

And finally, every merchant and processor that is granted Internet access to the SpeedChex servers is assigned a unique ID, login name, and password that must be included as part of each data packet sent to the servers. An IP filtering scheme is used to ensure that transaction packets are only received and processed if the IP address of the computer system sending the transaction fits into the IP address range specified in the merchant’s or processor’s security profile.

Conclusion

Although much effort has been made to ensure the security and reliability of the SpeedChex system, these issues will remain as an ongoing priority for the SpeedChex system designers and support teams. Any new technologies that evolve in these areas will be evaluated and the best ones will be incorporated to make the SpeedChex system even better for the future.
